Job Summary

•   He/She will be responsible for enforcing regulations in all aspects and levels of business, as well as provide guidance on compliance matters

Key Responsiblities and Duties will include:

•   Develop policies to reduce risk of non-compliance
•   Revise procedures, report periodically to identify hidden risk or non-conformity issues.
•   Evaluate the efficiency of control and improve them continuously
•   Prepare report for Management and external regulatory bodies as appropriate.
•   Maintain records of compliance activities
•   Applicant must be able to identify the potential risks that may hinder the reputation, security and safety of the Bank
•   submit reports to the Board highlighting areas of potential risks to the company

Qualification Required & Experience

•   University Degree in Accounting/Banking and Finance/B.Com
•   A postgraduate qualification will be an added advantage
•   Not less than 5 years experience in the related area
•   Must have knowledge in T24 Banking software and in credit administration
•   Must be a team player and have the ability to handle complex issues
•   Must have interpersonal communication skills

Competencies and skills

•   Proven experience as risk and compliance officer
•   Knowledge of bank procedures
•   A good knowledge of reporting procedures and records keeping
•   Excellent analytical skills
•   Ability to persuade others to adhere to standards
