Ghana National Gas Company (Ghana Gas) is a Limited Liability Company with the mandate to build, own and operate the infrastructure for gathering, processing and delivering natural gas to industry in safe, cost effective, responsible and reliable manner.

Reports To: Head, Internal Audit

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the risk assessment process which involves the identification and evaluation, and then work with managers to recommend solutions.
• Communicate to senior management what the risk issues are and be able to provide them with a plan to minimize those risks.
• Maintain a consolidated corporate register of all risks with their ratings/ranking. Must be able to produce periodic as well as ad-hoc reports regarding the level of risk associated with any given area of business.
• Provide support, education and training to staff to build risk awareness within the Company.
• Recommend changes to the mitigation controls or action plans for the purpose of providing efficient utilization of Company financial resources.
• Undertake any other duties that may be assigned.

Other:

• Travel: 10-30% of travel will be required to the Operational Sites.

Qualification Required & Experience

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited tertiary institution and Master's degree in finance (e.g. MBA/MSc Finance) or professional qualification.
• 3-5 years' experience in a managerial role.
• Experience In risk management information systems will be a plus.

Required Personal Attributes:

• Ability to collect and analyse data, classify and rate risks and exposure.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Advanced user of Excel, Word and PowerPolnt.
• Continuously develop skills and knowledge base through continuing education.
• Ability to develop relationship with functional heads and staff.
