Role Purpose
Responsible for the preparation of Sales & Marketing reports and business performance reports for Vehicle Assembly Plant Limited

Key Responsibilities:
Strategy and Policy Development

•   Provide input/support for the formulation of sales & marketing policies, and procedures.
•   Develop sales strategy to distribute finished products to enhance profitability of the company
•   Develop a marketing plan including branding, publicity, and advertising to identify key customers and sign purchase agreement with potential buyers
•   Proactive in determining market trend in order to gain competitive advantage
•   Aggressively promote and leverage the competitiveness of VAP products to become industry’s market leader in Ghana

Budget Preparation and Control

•   Provide input for the preparation of VAP’s annual budget.
•   To develop and control a centralised ng system to ensure that stock of finished products are effectively managed.

Business Performance Monitoring

•   Collate data/information from departments and prepares Business Performance Report on monthly basis.
•   Provide input for the preparation of Project Appraisal Proposals for review by management.

Stakeholder Relationship Management

•   Maintain good working relationships with external stakeholders in the area of sales & marketing.

Information and Reporting

•   Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual management reports.

Employee Performance and Development

•   Conduct performance appraisal and provide input for career development and recommend performance incentives for subordinate staff.
•   Identify training needs and facilitate training for subordinate staff

Qualification Required & Experience

•   CIM with 7 years working experience; 3 of which should be in senior management position.

Knowledge and Skills

•   Excellent oral and written communication skills.
•   Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
•   Considerable planning and organizing skills.
•   Ability to meet deadlines and execute projects.
•   Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
•   Great deal of attention to details.
•   Knowledge in the use of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, with strong functionality skills in excel and other software and tools.
•   Good analytical skills.
•   Good managerial and coaching skills in a "team" setting.
