The National Service Scheme is looking for qualified and experienced persons for employment in the following position: Secretaries
Job Purpose
• To provide effective and efficient support for the day-to-day administration of the scheme
Key Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the incumbent include but not limited to the following:
• Maintain an updated database and keep am effective filing system for easy retrieval
• Ensure that all office equipment are kept clean and in order
• Manage calls/fax and perform general reception duties
• Type letters, memos and reports as my be assigned
• Circulate notices for meetings
• Record proceedings of meetings and prepare minutes for circulate per guidelines
• Receive visitors and manage appointments education
Qualification Required & Experience
• Higher National Diploma in Management studies/secretaryship or related field with a minimum of 3 years relevant post qualification experience (National Service Excluded)
• Advanced or Ordinary Diploma in Management Studies / Secretaryship or related field with minimum of 4 years relevant post qualification experience
• Very good communication skills (verbal and written)
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Good shorthand writing skills
• Good office management skills
