Title: Senior Accountant

Job Description

• The Senior Accountant will be responsible to the Finance Officer and assist him/her in all financial matters of the University including but not limited to the following:
• Preparing and recording asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analysing account information.
• Maintaining and balancing subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions; resolving discrepancies.
• Perform any other duties that may be assigned by the Finance Officer from time to time.

Qualification Required & Experience

• Candidates must hold a Masters Degree in Finance or Accounting from a recognised University and ICA(Ghana), ACCA, ACA, CIMA (Final) in Finance/Accounting.
• He/she should, in addition, show evidence of a good grasp of financial administrative procedures and have relevant post-qualification experience of not less than four (4) years. In addition, an applicant must have proven evidence of:
• Being a team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Good communication and excellent report writing skills.
• High sense of responsibility and moral integrity.
• Proactive and self-motivated.
• Experience in university financial administration would be an advantage.
