A reputable international organisation is seeking to fill the following position for an intended project: Senior Agricultural Production Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

•   Manage a team of 30 agriculturalists in improved production systems for soybean, rice and maize.
•   Oversee the design and implementation of activities to increase on-farm productivity, reduce post-harvest losses, ensure production is responsive to market demands, and that it meets quality requirements
•   Implement supporting systems including inputs and farm equipment, conservation farming, post-harvest systems, and adoption of new technology

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Msc. in agricultural related fields
•   Twenty years experience in agricultural or private sector development
•   Specialist knowledge in rice, maize and soybean production systems
•   Prior private sector or donor project experience is an advantage
•   Supervisory experience of teams over 30 people a plus
•   Writing skills and data management experience an advantage
