Our client is an Exploration and Production (E&P) company, with its headquaters in Ghana. Our client is currently carrying out an evaluation of existing discoveries and exploration operations offshore Ghana. The company is seeking to fill the following position with competent professionals: Senior Geophysicist

Role and Responsibilities

Undertake geophysical studies including:

•   Provide seismic interpretation input to project work, either working onto old seismic vintages 2005 - 2007 or new vintages
•   Be responsible for data quality of any new seismic data acquisition by the company
•   Perform detailed synthetics to well ties
•   Provide velocity models and perform time to death coversion of seismic interpretation
•   Provide rock physics analysis, and input to inversion projects
•   Provide attribute, AVO, and seismic facies analysis
•   Play a role in ongoing & future field development / infill planning studies
•   Provide geophysical support in well interpretation / drilling / perforation as required
•   Provide seismic interpretations for geo-modelling studies and reservoir volumetric assessments.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   MSc in Geology / Geophysics is essential
•   7+ years experience in the Oil and Gas industry, working as a Geophysicist or Geologist with an Operating or Service company
•   Excellent technical computer skills are required
•   Fluent written and spoken English language is required
