Job Summary

•   Brief Description of the position: This is the leading malaria diagnostics technical position within our consortium.
•   Location of work: Accra, Ghana.
•   Level of effort: Full-time, with around 35% of time for travel to health facilities and communities in designated districts and regions.
•   Salary: Competitive salary and benefits package will be discussed with shortlisted candidates.

Functions:

•   Provide technical leadership on malaria diagnostics to the Consortium, with focus both on microscopy and RDT.
•   Provide technical assistance to policy development/review, planning, training and supervision activities related to malaria diagnostics both at central levels of the GHS and to a set of Regional GHS offices close to Accra.
•   Support and supervise malaria diagnostics personnel in the Consortium (located outside Accra).
•   Implement Consortium’s activities in Regions assigned to him/her both with GHS and private sector organizations.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Biomedical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Laboratory professional or technician.
•   At least 10 years of professional experience with at least 5 dedicated to the service delivery, training, supervision or policy advice related to malaria diagnostics.
•   At least 3 years of experience as a program manager or supervisor.
