A Leading Research Organization in Ghana is seeking a Political Scientist to consolidate and advance its flagship status in Ghana and the West African sub-region.

The candidate will provide intellectual vision to the organisation’s governance centre, the governance centre is mandated to conduct research and policy advocacy on pressing national issues such as the role of Political Parties in Ghana and the West African sub-region, the decentralization programme, and issues associated with the democratic process.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   A Ph.D in Social Science with a bias in Political Science.
•   At least 7 years relevant experience in policy issues in developing countries.
•   Extensive knowledge of African and Ghanaian policy issues and experience in policy-oriented research, demonstrated by a track record of publications.
•   Excellent written and verbal communications skills and the ability to raise the profile of the organisation and build networks,
•   Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated track record of team work.
•   Strong client orientation, willingness to work with wide range of government, civil society actors, and donor counterparts.
•   Provide intellectual leadership, direct and lead research.
•   Coach, mentor and advice staff.

Remuneration: Attractive salary commensurate with experience.
