We are an Agro-processing company with a state-of-the-art processing factory located in the Central Region. We have vacancy for:- Factory Manager (Reporting to the Factory Manager)

The Person

•   Male or Female, highly motivated individual, technically-inclined and inquisitive and must have a good record for adhering and enforcing procedures for good manufacturing Practices
•   Must be keen on living and working in the rural area

The Job

•   Leading a production shift of operatives and technicians to process perishable farm produce into finished product of set tonnage and quality
•   Highly target-driven on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for his/her shift.
•   Supervising and accounting for raw materials, chemicals and utilities allocated to this shift (night and day)
•   Must ensure the plant runs efficiently
•   Must ensure safe and hygienic environment
•   Writing technically-competent reports on odd occurences
•   Taking over and handing over shift with clear, concise notes
•   Apart from production, he/she is responsible for all activities in the factory including security and transport during ono-office hours

Qualification Required & Experience

•   HND (Mechanical / Electrical)
•   BSc in Engineering is an advantage

Experience

•   Must have worked for not less than 3 years in a food processing factory under a Quality system
•   Must be familiar with programmeable logic control (plc) in manufacturing and troubleshooting
•   Must be familiar with operation and maintenance of automatic valves, pumps and oil-fired boiler
•   Must have controlled a shift of not less than 10 people in previous job.
