The Role

•   This position is accountable for the Systems and Services Certification business line of the Organisation in all aspects of financial P&L, operations, performance and also business development and sales. This position is also responsible to ensure and secure full compliance of the Organisation with national and international governing bodies.

•   The Business Manager will manage the planning and scheduling of audit and client training events to ensure a cost effective delivery and ensure the highest possible level of customer satisfaction. The Business Manager will also manage and drive efficiency in all other aspects of back office operations including audit reporting, certificate delivery, invoicing and debt collection functions and all other associated administrative functions with the focus always on meeting and exceeding customer expectations.

Main Responsibilities:

•   Direct and oversee the preparation for any External and Internal audits to ensure full compliance with Company policies and rules
•   Direct and oversee the Implementation of any required changes / corrections / updates to audits to ensure full compliance

Operations

•   Accountable for achieving the budget in terms of Revenue and Local Contribution for Systems and Services Certification Services in Ghana
•   Achieve and exceed key operational KPIs
•   Accountable for any claim that may arise from clients
•   Manage efficiency of Certification administration from scheduling auditing, package reception, checking, logging, issuing of certificates, invoicing and debt collection
•   Manage timely and appropriate allocation of work to Auditors and Trainers so as to achieve the business revenue and local contribution objective targets, ensuring optimum utilization of employed staff
•   Monitor Certification turnaround time and package rejection performance and take action to ensure targets are met
•   Working in cooperation with the Technical Manage, Product & Business Development Managers to plan the development of Auditors and Trainer resources to meet the business needs
•   Ensure the financial and other required information is reported in a timely and accurate manner
•   Develop a business plan for growth of Systems and Services Certification business services in Ghana.
•   Develop new services / products and concepts for the assigned market segment.
•   Work with other business line managers to promote services to enhance opportunities

People

•   Responsible for completing country reports, ensures all operation managers meet their Health & Safety equipments
•   Lead, coach and develop a business-orientated team
•   Operate to the highest standards of ethics, in accordance with the Code of integrity

Qualification Required & Experience

•   University Degree
•   Over 10 years of experience in an operations / management role in a related field
•   Minimum of 7 years of Operations experience in a certification body / management system consulting organization or equivalent
•   Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills including grammar and composition (Proficiency in French would be a strong asset)
•   Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills
•   Capable of interacting with all levels of management, suppliers and clients
