Job Summary

•   Contribute to the development of the training and development strategy for the site;
•   Assist in identifying employee training needs through knowledge, Skills and Attitude (KSAs) Audit;
•   Ensure all approved training efforts are successfully implemented within the approved training budget;
•   Deliver specific on-site training;
•   Develop effective processes tor monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of all training and development programs provided;
•   Maintain and manage records of ail training and development activities to provide feedback in to planning;
•   Plan, coordinate and conduct induction sessions for newly hired and periodically for existing employees;
•   Assist in the preparation of weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual training report;
•   Ensure all training facilities and resources are properly maintained at all times;
•   Provide user/technical support on the performance management system and ensure optimum system efficiency;
•   Coordinate departmental career interview sessions for employees; Report on IDPs and employee gap analysis for skills requirements and succession planning.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Degree in Business administration/Social Science-
•   Certificate in Human Resource Management;
•   3 years working experience in a similar position in the mining industry or similar environment;
•   Ability to design and facilitate training events and organize programs;
•   Ability to prepare training budgets and monitor their execution:
•   Ability to deliver work on tight deadlines,
•   Very good knowledge of HRD systems and principles;
•   Ability to design HRD systems e.g. training needs identification, training evaluation, career development
•   Ability to design and facilitate training events;
•   Computer literacy (Word, Excel, Power Point, Audio Visual/digital projectors)
•   Well developed oral and written communication skills and ability to interact with people of diverse cultures and levels
•   A valid and current light duty vehicle license and proficiency in driving light vehicles.
