The Employee will Operate and maintain power and handling equipment in accordance with approved industry standards, quality procedures, and safety guidelines and within the scope of the technician’s qualifications and competencies to ensure integrity of the client’s wells

Duties & Responsibilities:

•   Operate power and handling equipment within client’s time specification in compliance with company’s Tubular Running Service Competence Assurance System to maintain integrity of the client’s wells
•   Maintain power and handling equipment at work area within client’s time specification in compliance with company’s Tubular Running Service Competence Assurance System to allow equipment to be operational on location
•   Perform casing and tubing stabbing duties from the rig stabbing board; including pipe alignment, stabbing, signalling the Driller and operating handling tools to avoid damage to pipe during make-up operations. Working in a safe and efficient manner to maintain a constant rate of pipe delivery in compliance with company’s Tubular Running Service Competence Assurance System to maintain integrity of the client’s wells.
•   Operate power and handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner to maintain a constant rate of pipe delivery (Internal/External customers), in accordance with approved industry standards, safety and quality procedures, legislation and within the scope of the technician’s qualifications and competencies to meet customer’s work requirements
•   Contact Operations office on a daily basis or as instructed to receive job and check-in details.  Additionally, attend pre and post job briefings as instructed to ensure the communication of issues and information is facilitated.
•   Understand the functionality of Manual handling equipment, Power Equipment, Bucking Units and Thread Monitoring Systems, Rig Systems Solutions Services and Total Depth Solutions Services
•   Assist in the rig up & down of Casing and Tubing Running Equipment following TRS Work Instructions and procedures
•   Assist with the performance of function checks of Casing and Tubing Running Equipment in compliance with specified Work Instructions
•   Understanding of Well Site Services including performing under limited supervision Casing and Tubing Running Practices and Well Site Safety
•   Identify assets required for performing the job
•   Perform service and maintenance on mechanical, hydraulic and electronic components of mechanical handling tools and torque turn monitoring systems in compliance with specified Work Instructions
•   Any other delegated responsibilities as instructed by Line Management, including crew chief, within the timeframe specified in a safe and efficient manner to meet business requirements, provided the instruction is reasonable and you are capable and deemed competent to fulfil these

Qualification Required & Experience

•   An HND or equivalent is preferred
•   Qualification covering Competence objectives of TRS Operations Level 1
•   2-5 Years minimum proven field experience in Rig Floor/Tubular Handling and Running Operations
•   To be able to competently operate and perform basic preventive maintenance with minimal supervision on all Casing and Tubular Running equipment
•   Must have excellent communication skills, Interpersonal skills
