Report to: Branch Manager
Job Location:  Takoradi

Job Objective
The successful candidate will ensure prompt clients satisfaction through prudent underwriting and the application of approved standards.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

•   Quote risk adequate premiums for new businesses and monitor response.
•   Draft and issue policies and all other documents as evidence of insurance cover
•   Issue endorsements accurately and on time
•   Handle Personal lines and Corporate lines underwriting
•   Supervise proper filling of documents in order to facilitate the retrieval of same.
•   Prepare monthly report on quotations and the conversion rate

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Possess a minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Insurance, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or a related subject.
•   Have at least three (3) years post National Services working experience in Underwriting
•   Membership of insurance professional body is desirable
•   Good Underwriting skills and knowledge of the Insurance Industry
•   Good analytical and organizational skills
•   Should be very meticulous and tactful
•   Ability to relate well with people and possess excellent interpersonal skills
