Job Summary

•   Produce a Two Year production Plan (3-Months rolling plan), and Five Year Detailed Plan (Production and Financial);
•   Prepare mining budget and monthly cost recons and forecast;
•   Work towards ensuring that plans meet Long Terms strategies and objectives;
•   Work towards ensuring that Short term is complying with Medium Term Plan;
•   Responsible for open pit production schedule and equipment optimisation;
•   Efficient planning of ore stockpiles to ensure uninterrupted ore supply to crushers;
•   Ensure pit & dump engineering designs are available and meet all technical and safety requirements;
•   Ensure block models are updated and made available for planning purposes;
•   Ensure quarterly production reconciliations are generated.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Degree in Mining Engineering;
•   A minimum of five (5) years work experience in open pit gold mining, preferably in a high volume mining environment utilizing large equipment;
•   Excellent Computer analysis skills and in-depth knowledge of modern mine planning and design softwares;
•   Must be conversant with the Mining Act and related regulations of the Republic of Ghana and be able to interpret and apply these laws and regulations;
•   Familiar with current planning technologies and practices;
•   Leadership experience and a strong desire to coach and develop others;
•   Good interpersonal skills and ability to interact with people of diverse cultures;
•   Well developed oral and written communication skills;
•   Must possess a valid Ghanaian driving license and have the ability to drive in rough terrain;
•   Ability to work under pressure
