Programmes Manager Wanted For Employment By Christian Council Of Ghana



The Christian Council Of Ghana is a research and advocacy based organization with its head office in Accra and a northern sector office in Tamale. The council is looking for a capable, result oriented and creative-thinking individuals to occupy the following positions;

Programmes Manager
Reporting To Director, Programmes and Advocacy (DoPA)

Key Responsibilities

. Direct and manage project implementation
. Write proposals to raise funds for Council’s projects and activities
. Develop full-scale project plans and associated communication documents
. Ensure that project implementation are in accordance to project objectives and requirements
. Prepare specific programme and project reports that will be assigned to you
. Ensure programmes implementation meet quality standards and are in accordance with project objectives
. Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crisis and devise contingency plans
. Conduct project postmortems and create recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful projects
. Support the development of policy briefs, manuals and other documents for the use of the Council

Required Qualifications

A second degree in a relevant discipline (Economics, Sociology, Political Science, Development or similar)

Experience

. Five years working experience, including three years practical experience in programming and advocacy
. Sound knowledge on socio-economic and governance issues in Ghana
. High level of familiarity with Ghanaian civil society
. Excellent organizational skills; ability to balance and prioritize multiple assignments in a fast-paced, changing environment
. Experience working at the national level and in cross-religious settings
. Excellent analytical, writing and public speaking skills

Skills and Abilities:

. Ability to work in a team
. Strong management and logistic skills
. Effective communications skills, verbally and in writing, including lobbying and negotiation skills
