GENERAL ELIGIBILITY
1. Eligible applicant should:
a. Be a Ghanaian citizen by birth.
b. Be of good character.
c. Be not less than 20 years and not more than 25 years by 20th April, 2015 for Regular Commission and not more than 30 years by 15th April, 2015 for Short Service Commission.
d. Be medically fit by Ghana Armed Forces standard.
e. Be not bonded.
f. Be not married (for
Regular Officer Candidates only).
g. Be of minimum height of 1.68m (5` 6``) for males and 1.57m (5` 2``) for females.
For military police only; the minimum height for male applicants should be 1.75m (5`9``) and 1.70m (5`7``) for females.
h. Must have the following:
(1) BECE. Must have six (6) passes at BECE including English and Mathematics.
(2) Six credits. (Not less than
C6) including
Core English,
Core Mathematics and
Core Science at
WASSCE.
Or
(3)
Six credits. (Not less than
D) including
Core English,
Core Mathematics and
Core Science at
SSSCE.
Or
(4)
Five credits. (Not less than
6) including
English, Mathematics and
Science at
GCE ‘O’ Level and not less than D in three subjects at
GCE ‘A’ Level.
SHORT SERVICE COMMISSION (ARMY/NAVY/AIR FORCE)
5.
Legal Service. In addition to the general eligibility applicants must have the following:
a.
Barrister at Law (BL) Certificate.
b. Must have done
Pupilage and
3 years Post Call working experience.
6. MEDICAL.
a.
Health Services Administrator. In addition to the general eligibility, applicants must have a BSc degree in Administration (Health Services option). 1 - 3 years working experience as a Health Services Administrator in a recognized health facility.
b.
Health Planner. In addition to the general eligibility, applicant must have Masters in Public Health (Health Service Planning option). 1 - 3 years working experience as a Health Planner in a recognized health facility.
c.
Biostatistics Officer. In addition to the general eligibility, applicant must have BSc degree in Health Information and at least one (1) year national service or internship in a recognized health facility. 1 - 3 years working experience as a Biostatistics Officer in a recognized health facility.
d.
Health Insurance Officer. In addition to the general eligibility, applicant must have BSc degree in Administration (Health Insurance Option) / BSc degree in Actuarial Science and at least one (1) year national service or internship in a recognized health facility. 1 - 3 years working experience as Health Insurance Officer is required.
e.
Archival Officer. In addition to the general eligibility, applicant must have BSc degree in Actuarial Science. 1 - 3 years working experience as an Archival Officer is required.
f.
Biomedical Scientist. In addition to the general eligibility, applicant must have a BSc degree in Medical Laboratory Science or BSc degree in Biochemistry plus one (1) year post-qualification internship training. 1 - 3 years working experience as a Biomedical Scientist in a reputable medical laboratory facility is required.
g.
Pharmacist. In addition to the general eligibility, applicant must have Bachelor of Pharmacy degree (BPharm) from an accredited institution. Must have 1 - 3 years working experience as a Pharmacist in a recognized health facility.
h.
Radiographer. In addition to the general eligibility, applicant must have BSc degree in Radiology or its equivalent plus one (1) year post-qualification internship training. 1 - 3 years working experience as a Radiographer in a recognized health facility is required.
i.
Specialist (Medical & Dental). In addition to the general eligibility, applicant must have MB ChB/BDS or its equivalent plus a relevant post graduate qualification to the level of Membership/Fellowship of the Ghana College of Physicians & Surgeons (GCPS)/WACS/WACP or its equivalent from a recognized college. Must have a permanent registration with the Ghana Medical and Dental Council.
j.
Medical Officer & Dental Surgeon. In addition to the general eligibility, applicant must have MB ChB/BDS or its equivalent from a recognized institution. Must have a permanent registration with the Ghana Medical & Dental Council. 1 – 3 years working experience as Medical Officer is mandatory.
k.
Nursing Officer. In addition to the general eligibility, applicant must have a BSc/BA degree in Nursing/Emergency Care Nursing from an accredited institution of higher learning and must have completed the mandatory rotation or national service. 1 - 3 years working experience is required. Must have registered with the Nurses & Midwives Council of Ghana.

Midwifery Officer. In addition to the general eligibility, applicant must have a BSc degree in Midwifery from an accredited institution of higher learning and have completed the mandatory rotation or national service. 1 - 3 years working experience is required. m.
Specialised Nurses. In addition to the general eligibility, applicants must have certificate in any of the following specialties: Critical Care, ENT, Peri-operative, Emergency Care and Ophthalmic Nursing. 1 - 3 years working experience is required. Must have registered with the Nurses and Midwives council of Ghana
n.
Nursing Tutor. In addition to the general eligibility, applicant must have MPhil in Nursing or MSc in Nursing/Midwifery with postgraduate certificate in Education. Must have registered with the Nurses & Midwives Council of Ghana. Must have 1 - 3 years teaching experience in a Nursing Training College.
7. Chaplaincy.
a.
Catholic/Anglican/Methodist/Presbyterian/SDA Chaplain. In addition to the general eligibility applicants must have any of the following:
(1) Must have done a minimum of four (4) years post ordination service in the pastoral
field and must be a holder of a Licentiate or Diploma in Theology from a recognized
Theological Seminary or College.
(2) Must be recommended by Head of Church who must be prepared to release him/her
to the Ghana Armed Forces.
(3) Must not be more than 30 years of age at time of enlistment.
8.
Band. In addition to the general eligibility applicants must have a Degree or Diploma in
Music from a recognized University/Institution in the following:
a. Staff – Reading.
b. Conducting.
c. Orchestrating.
d. Wind Instruments.

10. Scratch gently to reveal the pin code. The scratch card can be used for three times until a record is successfully submitted.

12. Read through the entry requirements thoroughly.
13. Click on the
Apply Now Tab to open the applicant authentication page.
14. Enter your card

Page 1; Select your desired vacancy and provide all other required data.

Page 3; Enter the results of only the three required core subjects on your WASSCE/SSCE results slip, that is;
CORE MATHEMATICS, CORE ENGLISH AND CORE SCIENCE. Enter your
WASSCE or SSCE Index number, WASSCE or SSCE results slip serial number and select a
tertiary institution from the list of schools. Enter your graduating
GPA/CWA and provide all other required data. Upload only scanned copies of the following;
WASSCE or SSCE Results Slip and First Degree Certificate (Degree, HND, Diploma). NB: Each
scanned document (Passport picture, WASSCE or SSCE Results Slip, First DegreeCertificate) to be uploaded, should not
exceed 1(One) Megabyte and should be in
JPEG picture format only.
16. Click on the
Preview Button to see a summary page of all data provided.
Read through this page carefully and click on the
back button, if there are any modifications to be made.
17. Click on the
submit button and expect an instant e-mail and text message, which includes your unique system generated Identification Number.
18.
Print and keep a copy of the generated report as you will be required to present it, if you are shortlisted. However, if you lose your copy of the final report, go back to the recruitment portal, click on the
Check DetailsTab, enter your
unique identification number sent to you by SMS/E-Mail and order a re-print.
