Melcom is looking for experienced Bakers for the Hospitality Unit of the Business.

Job Summary

•   Production of bread and pastries
•   Ensuring consistent quality
•   Checking production schedule to determine variety and quantity of goods to bake
•   Enforcing quality control measures
•   Overseeing & Training subordinate colleagues
•   Developing new recipes
•   Monitoring and Managing raw material inventory
•   Ensuring timely dispatch of finished goods to stores
•   Efficient delegation of bakery – related task
•   Checking equipment regularly and perform maintenance or cleaning, as necessary
•   Checking the qaulity of raw materials to ensure that standards and specfications are met.
•   Preparing / maintaining inventory or production records
•   Ensuring compliance with food safety standards

Skills – Special / Competence

•   Attention to detail
•   Managing people
•   Team building skills
•   Technical skills in preparation and handling of all kind of bakery products
•   Ability to use large ovens and baking equipments

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Certificate or diploma in catering with specialty in pastries and confectioneries
•   Minimum 3 years experience in producing different types of breads, pastries and confectioneries
