Job Summary

Specific Duties & Responsibilities:

•   Manage clinical training and community outreach elements of “Increasing IUD, Implant, and Misoprostol Availability and Use” project
•   Quickly develop detailed implementation plan to deliver technical aspects of LAD project, including clinical training for the insertion and removal of multiple types of IUDs, insertion and removal of Sino implants, and counseling, prescription, and provision of medical abortion.
•   Develop and execute community outreach program to deliver target levels of market activations and community meetings, focused on long term family planning methods and medical abortion.
•   Create and manage team and suppliers for market activations and community meetings to ensure execution with excellence.
•   In conjunction with marketing team and advertising agency, develop and adapt materials to be used in clinical training and community outreach.
•   Monitor effectiveness of community outreach activities and recommend / amend strategies accordingly.
•   Ensure activities are in line with budget planning and expectation.

Manage relationships with the Ministry of Health (MoH), Ghana Health Services (GHS), and other FP / SRH partners.

•   Create, nurture, and maintain strong linkages between DKT and MoH, and DKT and GHS Family Planning Division (FPD) at the national, regional and district levels.
•   Develop key stakeholders for DKT and social marketing within the MoH and GHS FPD.
•   Ensure active MoH and GHS support for DKT activities and sales.
•   Develop innovative public / private partnerships (PPP) to increase uptake and sales of long-term family planning methods.
•   Develop, direct and oversee management of relationships with private healthcare outlets and providers.
•   Manage relationships with all stakeholders in FP and SRH, such as the Ghana Registered Midwives Association (GRMA), local and international NGOs, international health officers, etc.

Provide strategic analysis and critical thinking to further company goals

•   Ensure effective overall strategies for IEC (information, education, and communication) activities.
•   Develop detailed technical strategies to accompany and drive sales targets and CPR / share goals.
•   Collaborate with Sales & Distribution Manager to increase DKT product distribution in clinical channels.
•   Design and execute effective healthcare provider outreach and networks.

Provide family planning and sexual and reproductive health advice and counsel.

•   Advise CD, sales team, and brand managers on technical aspects of FP and SRH to ensure DKT provides timely and accurate information in the field.
•   Keep all DKT employees up-to-date on FP and SRH developments, statistics, and innovations.
•   Be voice of DKT to healthcare providers and other FP / SRH stakeholders with regards to technical information.
•   Responsible for accurate technical communication in all DKT products, IEC, and marketing materials.

Other Duties:

•   Represent DKT with all partners including, but not limited to: MoH and GHS representatives, donors, NGOs, consultants — maintaining positive, professional relationships and image.
•   Perform other duties as assigned by Country Director.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Post-graduate training in public health or other relevant discipline
•   clinical degree in nursing with emphasis on midwifery is a plus.
•   Minimum 7 years mid-senior level experience in designing, implementing or managing large, complex FP / SRH training and outreach programs.
•   Demonstrated track record working with mid and senior level MoH and GHS FPD officials.
•   Experience with and understanding of Ghana’s law providing access to safe abortions.
•   Proven knowledge of the private clinic landscape in Ghana, with existing strong relationships and networks within the sector.

Qualification Required & Experience

Job Summary

This position works under the supervision of the Deputy Chief of Party or his/her delegate.  The Clinical Advisor will oversee health program activities in malaria, family planning/reproductive health, nutrition and maternal, newborn and child health, including technical input and guidance. As a seconded position to Ghana Health Service/Regional Health Directorate, the Clinical Advisor will lead efforts liaising with the government, ensuring effective and high-quality, integrated health programs at the regional and district levels.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

•   Ensure the quality of activities being implemented conforms to MOH/GHS policy standards and guidelines.
•   Provide support in integrated, supportive supervision to the clinical staff.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   A medical doctor with six (6) years relevant experience as a senior-level manager of health programs; or a master’s degree in Public Health Nursing with twelve years of public health nursing experience and good understanding of MNCH, RH/FP and Malaria areas is required.

•   A master’s degree in public health or related field is an added advantage.
•   Five (5) years of the above experience should be at a senior technical and management level on USAID-funded health projects as well as five (5) years of recent experience supporting the implementation of FP/RH interventions.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Medical, nursing or midwifery graduate degree, plus MPH or a master’s degree in related field, plus ten (10) years of relevant work experience in health service delivery in Ghana
•   Five (5) years of recent experience supporting the implementation of quality assurance programs in the health sector in Ghana is an added advantage

3) Consultations with Regional Health Directors to identify CHPS zones to be strengthened as shared learning sites
4) Training on roles and duties in the CHPS-TA training manual in the Northern and Volta regions
5) Technical support to adapt coaching and mentoring protocols and to extend the GHS supportive-supervision system to the sub-district level and below.
•   Support project efforts with GHS to provide ongoing coaching support to work with the CHPS coordinators, the District planning officers and sub-district health teams to identify and address issues in CHPS implementation
•   Build the capacity of Systems for Health staff in CHPS programming, in particular for regional staff in the Northern and Volta regions

Qualification Required & Experience

•   A master’s degree in public health and a minimum ten (10) years of experience in implementing CHPS, as well as proven ability to carry out local-level advocacy, capacity building and social empowerment initiatives.
•   Experience working with Ghana Health Service, non-health related stakeholders at the district level as well as with USAID projects is an added advantage.
